It’s the middle of Summer and many times, the Summer boredom blues can set in.  So I try to find fun ways to keep the kids busy, active, and having fun while avoiding the “I’m Bored” monologue.  One way that we do this is with games.  In the Funnybone Toys lineup, there are four new games in town that just might be the perfect thing to help families overcome the boredom blues so keep reading to learn more.

Thanks to Funnybone Toys for providing our family with some great games!

Arrazzles Under The Sea

The Arrazzles Under the Sea Game is modeled off the popular original Arrazzles.  Each card features one of five different slotted patterns which allows players to create colorful underwater worlds using the 45 colorful seascape cards.  All the card are decorated in their own unique design, with no two alike.  Artistic and fun, Arrazzles Under The Sea is geared for ages 4 and up.

The new release, Anaxi, offers a fun spin on playing with words.  Players all work at the same time as three cards are drawn and overlapped per round.  With the flip of the timer, everyone has just 60 seconds to come up with their answers.  As the timer runs down, the rush is on.  Once the round ends, players compare answers and points are scored for unique answers that nobody duplicates.  Fast paced and fun, Anaxi is geared for ages 8 and up and can accommodate 2 to 6 players.

Melvin+Simon Collage Memory Game

For a spin on the classic game of Memory, Melvin + Simon A Colossally Fun Collage Memory Game is where it’s at.  Because these art collages encompass the entire card, this memory game is a bit trickier than the typical one item matching I’m used to.  The jumbo cards are sturdy and offer visually appealing designs with Melvin the Cat and Simon the Dog in a variety of scenes.  Geared for ages 4 and up, Melvin + Simon can accommodate 2 to 4 players.

Spirot Game

Finally, we have Spirot.  This art sequencing game offers a fun matching challenge as players work to stack their Spirot cards onto corresponding photographic board cards and create a sequence in a variety of four combinations. With 9 squares, there are endless combinations and many ways to win. The first player to five points is the champ!  Visually appealing and fast paced, Spirot is rated for ages 6 and up and can be played with 2 to 4 players.
